Sponsorship
Reach buyers while they decide
businessdataguide.com is an independent editorial property covering company data registries and data suppliers across 209 jurisdictions, profiling 806 suppliers. Readers arrive with a specific search: they are trying to verify a company, evaluate a data supplier, or understand what a registry actually offers. They are buyers, mid-decision.
Editorial line
Sponsorship on this site is a placement product. A sponsor receives a clearly labelled slot on selected pages: a logo, a one-line tagline, and a link to their product. That is the full scope of what a sponsor receives. Sponsors do not receive input into article content, comparison rankings, or editorial judgments. Articles that mention a sponsor are not written by or approved by that sponsor. Coverage of a sponsor's product is governed by the same editorial standards as any other coverage. Sponsors who want editorial influence are explicitly not a fit for this property.
Pricing

All prices are USD. Minimum terms reflect the time needed for a placement to generate meaningful impressions. Pricing is honest about where the site is in its traffic curve: rates will increase as organic traffic grows.

Availability
Open slots by region
Inventory is generated at build time from live jurisdiction frontmatter and supplier records. Slot counts reflect the published guide count for each region, not a cap.
All slots currently open. Sponsorship pipeline empty at time of publication. Inventory updates monthly as sponsor agreements land.
| Region | Guides | Open | Pending | Taken |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ASEAN | 11 | 10 | 0 | 1 |

Process
How it works
Four steps from enquiry to placement. Lead time is five business days from signed contract to placement live.
01
Apply
Email hello@tehkimguan.com with your company name, the jurisdictions or categories you want to sponsor, and the tier you are considering. No forms. No RFP process.
02
Editorial vetting
KG reviews the application. Sponsors must be data suppliers already operating in the relevant market. Sponsors whose products conflict with editorial accuracy standards, or who request editorial influence as a condition of sponsorship, are declined. Response within two business days.
03
Contract and payment
Sponsor receives a placement mockup, a sponsorship agreement (PDF), and a Stripe invoice. Contract includes the editorial independence clause. Payment triggers placement scheduling. No exceptions.
04
Placement live
KG deploys the placement within five business days of cleared payment. Sponsor receives a confirmation with the live URL. Renewal invoices are sent ten days before the end of each billing period.
What it looks like
Example placements
These are fictional companies rendered with the actual placement component. The card you see below is what a buyer reads on a jurisdiction guide page adjacent to the article body.
Note: all three companies below are fictional. "Acme Compliance Co", "BlueGate Verify", and "Northstar Registry Partners" do not exist. These are example placements, not current sponsors.

Guardrails
What sponsors do not get
This list is the reason readers trust this site. It is non-negotiable. A sponsor who needs any of the following should look elsewhere.
Editorial influence
Sponsors have no input into article body copy, article structure, conclusions, or what the editorial stance is on their product.
Content shaping
Sponsors cannot request new articles, article rewrites, or changes to how their product is described in editorial content. Article topics are chosen by the editor, not by sponsors.
Link insertion in body copy
Sponsorship does not include links placed inside article paragraphs, headings, or tables. All sponsor links live in the clearly labelled right-rail placement only.
Removal of competitor mentions
If a competitor is covered in an article that a sponsor is placed on, the competitor coverage remains. Sponsorship does not suppress, alter, or remove mentions of other suppliers.
Approval rights over coverage
Sponsors do not see article drafts before publication. They do not approve or reject editorial content. Published content is the editor's call.
Guaranteed placement position
The right-rail supplier highlight slot is the defined placement. Page layout changes are at editorial discretion. Sponsors are notified if their slot moves to a different position.
Questions
Common questions
The site is new. Why should we sponsor before traffic is established?
Early sponsor placements are priced to reflect current traffic, not projected traffic. As the site grows, rates increase and early category claims become harder to secure. Sponsors who enter early get the lowest rate and the first category claim. That said, if you need traffic guarantees before committing, Tier 3 category exclusivity is not the right fit yet. Tier 1 at current pricing is an honest entry point.
What does the sponsor placement actually look like?
A right-rail card with a "Sponsor" label, your logo, your tagline (up to 180 characters), and a CTA button linking to your product page. The card carries a disclosure line confirming editorial independence. Visually, it sits adjacent to the article body, clearly separated from editorial content. You can see the current demo placement on the Malaysia company search guide.
Can we update our tagline or logo during the contract period?
Yes. One factual update per billing period at no extra charge. Send the new asset to hello@tehkimguan.com. Updates are deployed within five business days. Updates that change the material meaning of the placement (e.g., a tagline that makes an unverifiable claim) are subject to editorial review.
What happens if the editor publishes coverage of our product that we disagree with?
Sponsors can submit a factual correction request. If a factual error is confirmed, it is corrected with an editorial note. If the sponsor disagrees with an editorial judgment (not a factual error), the coverage stands. This is stated in the contract. Sponsoring the site does not give a company standing to dispute editorial judgments. If a sponsor cancels because of editorial coverage, no refund is issued.
What is the refund policy?
No refunds for editorial decisions. If a placement fails to go live within ten business days of cleared payment due to a technical issue on our side, a pro-rata credit is issued for the days delayed. No refunds after placement has been live.
Do sponsored links pass PageRank to our site?
No. All sponsor links carry rel="nofollow sponsored" per Google's guidelines. Sponsorship is an audience access product, not an SEO link product. If SEO link value is the primary reason for enquiring, this placement is not the right fit.
